So I have learned a lot from this forum lately. I figured I would put it all to good use.

What I did different this recording:
1. mapped out tempos and recorded scratch guitar first to tempo
2. used slip editing to edit drums... (still not done)
3. captured di for amp sim and miced an actual cab
4. used a clipper on master bus (tracks)
5. used a multiband compressor to compress some of the low end of the mix

I think this is one of the best tones I have ever gotten as well. It really sounds big (at least to me). Please take a listen and give me some suggestions/pointers/opinions.

BTW I know it is limited to hell but this is how the band wants it unfortunately. :(

i think the overheads could go down a tad, sometimes the vocals clip a little bit. Not a fan of the band at all. guitars sound pretty good what did you use?

pretty generic stuff. love the dudes and love working with them though. guitars are a peavey xxx miced with a sm57 an inch off of the cone. also, got a di and ran it through guitar rig using the ultrasonic preset. There is a tiny delay between the mic signal and the di but I personally think it actually made the guitar tone a lot thicker.
