I am a major supporter of this. My viewpoint is this if people are not happy what is currently going on in metal now might as well look for something that has been done before and try to build an audience and expose them to older bands in the mix.

Now this is a thread I can get behind. Interestingly this was my least preferred form of metal when I was younger, but coming back to it one of my favorites. I've pretty much had Enforcer on heavy rotation non stop, but the new releases for Zenith so far suck ass.

That Katana and Starlight Ritual are sweet.

Not straight new wave ripoff, but there is definitely some maiden-esque influence in the vocals and other elements that seem fitting here (just a compilation CD, not their actual album which will be released in may):

How about bands like Skullfist??? Any ither bands with 80's glam rock sound..
