Long story short I ordered a 1tb western digital hard drive and ended up with a 160gb seagate. Newegg agreed to replace the hard drive but only on return of the old one which kind of frustrates me as its completely there problem. I let you guys know what comes out of the situation!

sry to the mods this should probably be in off topic im not thinking right after this!

For the inconvenience of shipping it back, plus the cost why don't you just keep it? How much do those cost?

160GB is pretty titty for a project drive.

This could go on the off-topic section, but let me get this straight. You think the company is a nightmare because they demand you to return the wrong product for them to send you the right one?
Dude... seriously?

I have to admit that them asking for the wrong product back seems pretty normal and far short of a nightmare. Sounds like a mistake was made, the recognized the mistake and are working to rectify it. Do you really think they should just let you keep the wrong drive as well as send you another one?

probably a bit short of a nightmare now that i think back on it just not what i expected them to do. The same thing has happened with them before and they just let me keep the wrongly shipped item.

i hate online order problems

it took thomann 4 times to send me a jackson guitar that wasn't smashed to bits

it took dabs uk a month to figure out they didn't have a printer in stock

& it took an irish laser ink cartridge company 4 months to realize the ink they sent me was not legit epson ink (even though it was plainly written on the box "this is not an epson product")

fingers crossed you have better luck then i've had
