NHL Playoffs

They are such a different team this year. It's weird.

I KNOOOOOW!! And I am not one of those band wagon jumpers, either! I've been going to Caps games since they were another one of our shitty DC teams, and tickets were in the $20 range. XD Apparently, my home-team loyalty is finally paying off!

Red Wings are either going all the way or will at least make it to the finals and make a good showing for whoever their opponent is.

Bruins are not getting out of this round. I want to be optimistic, but I can't. It's not in the cards.

I think Vancouver has gone into panic mode. Would not be surprised if Chicago pulls off 4 in a row.

I used to pull for the Caps, but Ovenchicken just seems like such an ass that I can't root for them.

The Wings are looking pretty good, so far. I definitely think they can make it to the finals.

The Canucks look like they're in vacation mode, not panic mode. It'll be impressive for Chicago to come back from a 3-0 deficit, but Vancouver hasn't exactly been fighting for it.

All of the other match-ups have been pretty fun to watch. I'm curious to see what the Kings are going to do. They started off good against the Sharks, but haven't held up over the last few games.

The Caps definitely did a number on their defensive play this year.. We haven't scored as many goals but our D-tandems are great and have been mixed n' matched thru-out the year (spare Carlzner) with Green having a rough bit of luck...

You could definitely see the different 'tude they have in game 5.. They didn't come out thinking 'well if we don't win this one, we'll win the next' - they came out knowing the series was ending...

We are louder :)

I am not sure how benching Luongo in game 6 can be interpretid as anything but panic.

I didn't catch game 6, so I couldn't say. I would have expected them to play their starter, though. The Canucks definitely looked like they were out to lunch in games 4 & 5. But, hey, if the Blackhawks can use that to their advantage, then they should go for it.

Now I get to wait for the Sharks to cruise into Hockeytown where hopefully the Wings will pull off another 4-0 sweep!
