Pops in St. Louis owns any venue overall, but Chicago HoB has the best sound and is closer to me!

To get a band from one continent to another even for a weeks worth of shows costs a couple thousand dollars... you have plan tickets, work visas, transportation rental, equipment rental... most of the time esp on a first tour... band usually don't get paid anything, but don't have to pay for anything either (except for merchandise sales)... It depends on the band in question & booking agent\promoter as well... Somewhere in the chain those costs have to be eaten by either label, promoter, booking agent or band (or all)...
