No King in 2008

Kind Diamond has postponed his entire North America tour for
2008 until further notice... Seems like King has fucked up his back...
Damn, I had circled the Portland date and now
I'll have to wait until he releases another record
in five fucking years...

Man, this sucks and blows! I was looking forward to the dual headlining action with Kreator on that tour, too! :(

I am bummed, but I hope King gets well. I hurt my back at work almost a decade ago and it never got better. Back problems are a pretty hard thing to heal from. I know I am in some level of pain 24/7 from it. So I hope King can find a way to get at least healthy enough to perform again.

I've read some interviews with King, and he has had chronic back problems for a long time now. This isn't the first time he's had to cancel shows due to his back issues, but I do believe it's the first time he canceled a whole tour. This news almost sounds like he's going to get the problems addressed with some major surgery that would require a lengthy recovery period.

Hopefully he'll eventually be back better than ever.

I like you think that while his statement didn't say sugery, I think that's what he'll be looking at as like you said the whole tour has been shelved at if it were minor treatment he'd bounce back in days rather than months...

Exactly. You don't cancel an entire tour (supporting a brand new album) that doesn't start yet for months unless something major is going on. He likely has a one year recovery time as major back surgery sometimes does.
