Nocte Obducta

[Heir Apparent]

Ok, so I just got the album "Nektar Teil I" by the German black metal band Nocte Obducta, and I have to say it's some of the best black metal I have ever heard. The songs are long and have prog aspects to them. It seems like not to many people have heard of them which is a shame because they are incredible musicians. Does anyone else here like this band/heard of them before?

Tiel II is my favouire, the second part of the Desihras Tagebuch is the best on the album, imho. Anyway, I'm not too fond of their back catalouge, the shabby production puts me off, and anyway they were more straightforward black metal. And I hate straightforward black metal if it's not done by masters (Emperor, Ulver... you get the picture)

I'm listening to Tiel II right now. Impressive stuff. Nobody has checked them out?

Yeah i did a while back.. Can't remember what they're like for the life of me.. But not really in a rush to check them out again.

I think only the last two albums (Nektar Tiel I and Nektar Tiel II) are worth it anyway, maybe you listened to an old album.

No clue ahaha.. I'll listen to them again at some point.. I did like them when i heard them, but that was at least 2 years ago now i'd think.

I have both Nektar Tiel I and 2, they're good, I haven't spun either in ages though so a bit ^likewise for me.
