'Cause the send/return is between the input and the output. What's in the send/return will be present in the output, you'd create some kind of loop if you do it like you said.

Ohhhh I got it. So basically, if you did it the way I was saying, you'd be sending the FX send back into the NS2 return...meaning you'd get the preamp section of the amp + the signal from the guitar both hitting the Output?
 
i usually run it like this
guitar-noise supressor-amp.
this pedal is really useful in live situations especially on the guitars,but on recording there's not a big difference and you have to be careful with the signal so i dont use it,there are tons of other ways to avoid "noise" i think.
