Are there any free or cheap vox-tuning pluggies for OS X ?
really don't like using stuff like that but sometimes I've got no choice (mixing outside recordings etc)....I use it so rarely I don't wanna spend hundreds of € for antares or so....any proposals?

Well if you've already got Digital Performer (obviously NOT free) it has built-in pitch correction that rules.

Also, Melodyne plugin is only $299 (USD or Euros) and I think it's a better product than Auto Tune anyway.

i've heard of akai tune or something, is supposed to be easy, good and cheap. never used it though...

Melodyne Uno Essential - $40, though I think this is RTAS only. You can usually pick up a copy on Ebay from dutchmuzik... otherwise there is Melodyne Uno for $150.

It will tune a vocal just as well as the full version of Melodyne/Auto-Tune, but it is restricted to mono tracks and will not perform the corrections automatically. You just have to manually move the sour notes. It's way too freaking easy. I love it.
