What is nothing? What are it's features, color(s), feel? It has a name so therefore it is something. What exactly is it? Example: Im in the middle of nowhere so I am really somewhere
 
The post that came between this post and the first post. And the number of people who think that was a witty answer.
 
One must procede very carefully when dealing with such phenomena. It is very easy to get ensnared by language and poor conceptualization when dealing with such an uncanny "thing" like nothing, which is not a "thing" at all.

Im immediately reminded of a passage that concerns this very issue. I will post some selections later.

You're assuming a highly problematic view of meaning. Words don't always (or perhaps they never do) mean something in virtue of referring to or naming something.
 
Exactly. Nothing is a word that I, at least, use to describe the absence or opposite of "something." Why does it have to be "something"?
