I feel sorry anyone who doesn't find the beauty in this or materia. I think they're the most atmospheric band around, and his singing fits perfect because it's like another instrument.

It has a lot more harsh vocals, than materia, which I usually don't like harsh vocals but carmelo's are perfect. It reminds me of a cloudy day at the ocean. Or exploring a new lover on a rainy day. Highly recommended!

Italians it's gotta be something in their water. ; )

I can't make out the lyrics of the clean vocals. His pronounciation is really muddy. Its also the productions fault, though.
And the music is sort of too pretty for me. Very typical of Italian melancholic bands. But i'm sure some people will just love this.

The production definitely has everything on the same level in the mix. So nothing takes prominence and yes it's hard to make out the lyrics, but this might also be why they're so atmospheric. It's like everything as one.

Wow. Fuck :O I just learned about this new album although I had checked their page and Myspace nearly every day for months. Hell, I already thought the new Ulver was 2007's most anticipated album. Can't wait. And what's more cooler is that they apparently use Dead Can Dance's Cantara as an intro on gigs

That's it!!!They made it,they topped Materia...There's just one word for this one...Beautiful.I was almost sure that Silent Waters would be the album of the year for me...But I didin't know they were coming with sth. this powerful,harsh yet melodic and beautiful...The album of the year ladies and gentlemen.I'm looking forward to putting my hands on it.(yes I downloaded)
