I find slathered to be a deeply disturbing word
it brings to mind dirty priest sex or something

I had some beef n' veg sausages from the butchers
and some french bread

haha, I think the most popular food in the UK is now curry (indian)
more popular than fish n' chips

probably because it actually tastes good
