How do you feel about Portal, out of curiosity?

Never heard them, gimmicks on stage turned me off from even checking out their music Gonna give the Howls of Ebb a few spins, but unsure if it's gonna give any value

I'm just trying to figure out your tastes and if, at least on the extreme metal front, they expand past what was long and done in the 90's/early 00's.

yeah, I don't mind left turns at all but it would still be nice to have some riffs and songwriting in there

I'd argue that theres some awesome song writing going on there, items just doing something other than what you're looking for. It's very much focused on unifying all of the instruments, so yeah it's not riff heavy
