so, anyone listened to the new in mourning? gave it a quick spin the other day and i must say it sounded much better than i thought it would, especially the production

A few spins. Nothing special. Its no way near as good as The Weight Of Oceans, but it is slightly better than the new October Tide.

New Katatonia is growing, now that I have stopped moping about it not having the same drive as the last two albums and accepted it for what it is, a pretentious poetic softie.
Serein is still my fav followed by OHF, Residual and Pale Flag.
The album has so many good parts, but almost all songs also has so many weird... bad.. parts.
