I'm not much for djenty stuff either, but VOLA rises above the others! Definitely check out their previous album, Applause of a Distant Crowd, amazing blend of Porcupine Tree pop with modern progressive metal! Their first album, Inmazes, is very good too.
Great composing, great performance from all instrumentalists, incredible vocal delivery (brutal growls, chilling screams, powerful cleans and canorous harmonies), what a band, what an album.
Blood Incantation - Hidden History of the Human Race
Nice album. Basically a tribute to a lot of really good death metal bands, but sounds cohesive enough as its own thing too
