I used to think the same, but when I listed to some early 90s stuff,I really liked it. Not all hip hop, but just the stuff i listened to.

I dont listen to it a lot,but I like some producents like DJ Krush and DJ Shadow and I think they are amazing. Genre like every else, can be both shitty and awesome
