I took a look at sera cahoone's myspace and it sounds nice but, didn't really caught me as the singers I mentioned above... another singer: Kathleen Edwards

I saw Sera live at the Sasquatch Festival this year, first time hearing her.
Bought both release's she currently has out, totally melancholic, somber storytelling.
Like I said, not musically like the above-mentioned, but the "husky" voice, reminded me of Cat Power the first time i was listening to it.

take a look at jonna's myspace... her songs sounds somehow gloomy! listen to violent poetry, purple heart or april ghost, nice stuff.
