haven't heard the entire album, just that one (pretty meh, especially the clean vocals as always) and the order of dracul which was good

Really getting into these guys, awesome stuff

They are a pretty good band I guess but I still have a hard time getting over the fact that they do not sound anything like I would expect a band named "Rotting Christ" to sound like!

A few thoughts on this album &#8211;

• If you enjoyed their direction over the past few albums, it's definitely worth a listen and 55% seems a bit harsh. That said, it does seem like they could've strived for more. This album isn't "playing it safe," per say, but it isn't doing anything that the last few haven't done as well if not better than.
• "Burn", with the exception of the bridge (2:00-2:50), is not a very good song...probably the worst on the album. As Joakim pointed out, the clean vocals are a big part of the problem.
• While not usually a stickler for production, the digital version of this album (CD or streaming) is...unfortunate. A friend of mine said the vinyl does improve the dynamics a bit but not enough to warrant a separate purchase.
• "Order of Dracul", "Prototype", "Dogma", "Prometheus", and "Confessions of a Serial Killer" would've made for a great EP

Edit: Now listening to Blut Aus Nord's Memoria Vetusta III - Saturnian Poetry on repeat.
