Well, I'm not NOW reading it - it just got added to the TBR pile. Right now I'm working on Naamah's Blessing. I think I've pretty much had it with Jacqueline Carey - what I loved the most about the first trilogy was the intricate political machinations and games in which the sex was necessary to the plot. Now it seems to be all "visiting new and different places and fucking the people there" - and the sex *is* pretty much gratuitous. What a waste of her wonderful prose.

That feeling doesn't go away as you progress through the series, either. More and more, you will want to start throwing things.

Reading the series hurts. But it hurts so good.
