i’ve been at an xmas party tonight and darlene love kept coming on, and everyone was correctly saying it was the best xmas song and i was like yeah no shit she fuckin’ ripped off the ronettes, how could she fail?

well yeah, i was just using it as a way to praise both that song and the ronettes lol. spector is responsible for so much killer music it’s unbelievable, but nothing else sounds as much like the ronettes as that one that i’m aware of.

Yeah probably because it was all happening around the same time. It does sound like a Christmas rework of "Be My Baby" lol. That Phil Spector Christmas album the song is from is fuckin' great front-to-back.

It's a crime that nobody has hired Dan Terminus to score a movie or series. He makes the best synthwave type stuff I've ever heard. Whole albums that flow and don't get boring.
