Elimination or A Lemon Nation!
1989 has so many great albums. Was anyone here actually listening to these albums in 1989? The heaviest music I listened to in 89 was Guns and Roses and Faith No More and thats only because they had videos on MTV.

MTV in this country was a 2 hour ad fest of pop music in this country in 1989. Albums not on local release were usually 28 days by mail from either the US or Europe, or nearly unaffordable in the record shops that did import. But we still had a healthy metal scene here that wasn't entirely driven by hair metal, or chicks with dicks as many called bands like Motley Crue etc. Metallica tour AJFA here in 89, there was the opportunity to see live local metal at least twice a week in the city and suburbs and we were running 3 metal shows on community radio a week. So yeah we were listening.
