O/T MP3 Decoders

Can anyone reccommend a good MP3 decoder that doesn't take 8 years to rip a CD? I'm actually willing to pay if it means I can get fast, great quality MP3's. I'm in the process of converting my entire collection to MP3's so I can listen to them while at work w/o having to lug my CD wallet there everyday. (Some people have, surprisingly, sticky fingers there)

i know musicmatch used to convert cd to mp3 pretty quick

I use CDEX, not lightning fast but not slow either.
