is it just me or does Reinvinting the steel kick major ass? I listen to it and its like, yes, finally a band that keeps it metal. A lot of bands keep it metal from the start to the end, but most of them fade out and go corporate or start out corporate, die metallica!

That album is fucking sweet. Some people don't like it.
I don't understand why! Reinventing the Steel is fucking rad.
:headbang:

I love RITS! Its the album that got me hooked to 'Tera!

BTW, when are they planning to get back to it? When's the David Allan Coe project coming around? Is Down the only thing related to Pantera that is alive? :(

casey,i think dimebag & vinnie are still shopping for a deal for the dac project.

once phil is finished with commitments for down, superjoint as well as working with tony iomi,he has said the band will sit down and discuss the next move for pantera.

i wouldnt expect new pantera until early 2004 unfortunately

I just couldn't get into Reinventing the Steel. It's been awhile since I've heard it so I can't give you any specifics, but after a few listens I thought it fell way short of their previous albums. I ended up trading it in at Galaxy CDs for Time Out by the Dave Brubeck Quartet....

It's been a while and I can't seem to remember much about the album. That's the problem. I vaguely remember liking a few songs, but none of them really seemed to stick around. The album was a good idea and a step in the right direction, but it kinda had the feel of one really long song.

Anselmo has a lot off side projects!!!!!!verry different from the Pantera or Down music. I don't know the names of his side-project but he has half a dozen.
Good luck in youre chase for more alive Pantera.

Pantera has sucked since FBD. Oh and if one more person says some crap about pantera "staying true" or whatever, I am going to go crazy with a basket of hand grenades.
