OBAMA!!!

i really dont think it matters one bit who won, either way the middle class here in the u.s. are going to continue to get fucked, while the rich continue to stay rich, and the poor benefit from more social services than ever, making them equal or better off than people that work for their money.

hoorah for socialism.

Oh the ignorance of Americans.... Socialism is the most evil thing on the planet (except Communism!) but if they would take a look at some of the more "socialist" countires of the world they would see these are rated by far the best places for anyone to live! Ex: Sweden, Norway, etc.

I have grown up with Bush in office; I was 9 when he was elected for the first time. I have never known anything in my country's leadership but incompetence, rashness, divisiveness and culture war. I hope that finally, with Barack Obama in office, I will finally be able to be proud of my country again.

Haha, exactly what I was thinking. At least, the part where everything bad is immediately "socialist", making it the equivalent of the black plague.

Just realised that Obama want's to get rid of NAFTA which would equal a major economy change for us, shows how much he knows abouta Canada he called Harper a president LOL!

Obama also said his main influences are Aberham, JKF and Martin Luther King. Will there be any coincidences??

I was SO happy he won, I think I went to bed with a smile on my face lol. Amazing

Socialism would only work in a perfect society with all morally upstanding people, it can never work with a controlling greedy elite. so yes, i agree the concept is good, but for it actually working for a society i don't think we'll ever see it happen.

As for my negative statement toward socialism, it just sort of pisses me off that for the minimum of 40 hours a week i put in, i barely have any extra money after rent, college loans, and transportation payments. while i have neighbors down the street, same age as me(mid 20's), who popped out 1 to 3 kids after high school, havent worked more than a part time job in the previous 5 years, and somehow have enough money to have a brand new car, a 50 something inch flatscreen, buy enough alcohol to get drunk everyday, and smoke like chimneys, all because of the cut they get of my tax money due to some bullshit reason they cant work.

sorry if i'm a little bitter about that situation.

also, toward the great countries of northern europe, ive heard from plenty of people from their around the web that disagree everytime they see one of our north american statements about wanting to move their because its so great. they have just as many problems as we do.

so thanks for calling me ignorant. eat a fat one.

I don't think that the concept is good. The fact that a government can totally eliminate all economic freedoms is a sickening thought. I mean seriously, a government telling you how many hours you have to work per week, what you'll produce, and subsequently what you'll get paid? And then the thought of living in a country with no inter-business competition? What a dismal place. And somewhere where you can't even try to better yourself, or get further in life?

I used to feel the same, that it was all nice in theory but just wouldn't work. But looking at the theory, it sounds fucking horrible. Maybe it may work as a kind of bleak machine, if executed absolutely perfectly, but I like my freedoms too much to wish that on anybody, ever.
