nekropsalms is just THAT exciting! going to listen to it proper tomorrow because nothing says christmas eve like putrid death metal from cavernous hades

I skipped the entire thread altogether until now. It probably had to do with the ALL CAPS title of it.

Good stuff, and yes, it sounds like a combo of all those bands you mentioned.
But it is also its downfall. It was cool 20 years ago when it was original, but this is just a very competent copy.

i hear you brotherman but i think there is something new to this despite all the obvious nods to the past. it has a bit of an epic and, ugh, "modern" (not in the bad sense) vibe to the whole thing. hard to explain but i dont this this could have been made in 1989, even if each individual riff probably could.
