I know this forum is meant for music, but I'm in need of finding some "real" axes and swords, preferably armor as well, in an online store. I know such stores exist, I've been to them, I've just forgotten where they are. Heh.
Anyway, I figure some of you might know where I can find such items. The bigger the weapon, the better.

hey krapylet, I collect bayonets, but I also am interested in medieval weapons. what and where you buy is based largely on what you intend to do with them. if you are only looking to display, they will be cheaper because they will not have to be tough enough to be "battle ready," (swords can be made of cheaper steel, and cheaper steel can shatter and doesn't sharpen or hold an edge as well) - if you are interested in joining one of those reenactor groups where your axes, swords etc have to be tough enough to take punishment (battle ready), they will cost more.

I get a mail order catalogue from http://www.museumreplicas.com/home.htm , they make replica weapons which can actually be sharpened and used in combat, they are more expensive than cheaper swords strictly intended for display. that company is where I bought my replica German war hammer ;)

Actually we're not.

Look at Palestine, South Africa, South America.... etc...

There' much more violence and strife going on in other parts of the world than here... by a long shot.

Over here, we are just lent to believe that cause of all the domestic stuff we see on our news.

the problem with south america is the guerilas and stuff like that
in USA there's gangs which are almost the same
I think all societies are violent

Guns are all well and good, but swords and knives are just so much more personal. I'm thinking about a "battle ready" sword, so I'll take a look around at these adresses. Thanks for the response, everyone! :D

what I mean is we are the most violent society which doesn't have rebel/guerrilla activity going on, or warfare going on in our own territory. we have more guns than any other nation per capita, and we frequently use them. check this out:

Robert Young Pelton has written some fascinating books about traveling in dangerous places, I agree traveling in the US is safer than traveling, say, in Afghanistan.

I was a witness to a bank robbery last year, the guy right in front of me robbed the bank and none of us even realized what was going on til he was out the door.

Yes, Finland has more guns per capita than the US.

@Lizard, more people die in the US from Malpractice than from guns... :p

Try banning doctors or autos...

Ive fought quite a bit with weapons from the jelling dragon, its a webstore based in Britain, check it out here: http://www.jelldragon.com

Im thinking about having them custom make me a longsword :)
I find their weapons very good, the price is quite high, but then again all re-enactment weapons cost quite a bit...

Damn, thanks, Aggressor! I jumped into that site, and I've been visiting a lot of various such sites, but the first thing that I saw was viking jewelry.. I'm getting some of it, there was a lot of really neat stuff there. Thanks again =)

And the reason the US has so many weapons per capita is your constitutional right to own a weapon.
