I'm gonna buy a bass (because it's the coolest instrument). It'll be my first ever and I'm going to suck. However I have brothers who are both very skilled multi-instrumentalists, so hopefully they'll be able to learn me some stuff.

I was thinking

some Ibanez thingy

anyone know anything about maths?

been doing some revision and cant see how these are related when x = -0.1

Easy

This is going to be hard to read without an equation editor but:
Let both sides be equal:
1 / sqrt(1+2x) = sqrt(5) / 2

Square both sides:
1 / (1 + 2x) = 5 / 4

Bring the 1 + 2x across:
1 = 5(1 + 2x) / 4

Solve for x:
4 = 5 + 10x
10x = -1
x = -0.1

Play around and have fun, man! That's how I learned (and listening non-stop to John Myung and Flea). There's nothing like rockin' on those low notes. :)

Road Test today. :erk:

=EDIT=

I passed.

No. Get this. Spector basses completely own everything. Even if it's the Spector Performer, it still wins.
