Did anyone here feel the effects of the Chicago Earthquake this morning? My cat was out on the back porch flipping out and a few seconds later the walls started to shake.

That was my first earthquake. It figures that I was asleep for the whole damn thing.:waah:

Well, where I live in Buttfuck, Indiana there was just some rumbling and right now as I type this a little after shock. Nothing major. I think some houses took some damage near the epicenter, but no one was hurt or killed. Which is a good thing considering how close it was to a major city.

It's always interesting to see how people react to quakes in areas that don't normally have sizable ones..I grew up with them, so they don't phase me a bit. Now tornadoes..I hate those damn things.

Hmm..I may have to do the Friday Five about this sort of thing..*wanders off to make up some questions*

I've been wanting to see the Forbidden Kingdom ever since the first time I heard Jackie Chan say "We can krr eachther rater."

I got recording back today of 3 different peformances

-Country gig last week that I was raving about
-classical guitar ensemble
-my rock/fusion/guitar wankery ensemble

The first two turned out great. That last one not so much. We played great and it sounded great in the concert hall, but the mix from the board that was burned to disk is absolutely horrible. Hardly even listenable honestly. That (along with the country gig) was recorded somewhat professionally to video, so hopefully the audio on that is way better. I think we're actually going to keep that group together outside of school and gig a bit. We're going to adapt to more a fusion sound and lose some of the more rock oriented stuff since there actually are a few decent outlets for that stuff here in the cities. I think once I get the video back, we're going to edit and splice together a short sampler video for youtube.

Cool! Keep us posted, & let us know when it's up!

haha, depends on your definition of interesting I guess... If you call going just across the border into Mildura and spending a week within a resort just relaxing, reading, swimming, watching ESPN and generally doing nothing interesting, then yeah! :D but it was good to relax, and now straight back into it...
