seriously though i thnk it may have made the sex better though. hahaha.

I think Jax pretty much brought the hammer down on Symphony Sex Ed in the OT thread.....

I don't even know

In other news, played a gig tonight for one of my good friends. It was him on drums, me on acoustic, his stepdad on steel/electric/vocals, one of our friends from school on bass, his grandpa on acoustic/vocals, his mom on vocals, his grandma on accordian/vocals/yodeling, a piano player from the school, and my teacher (bobby stanton...I posted some links to his playing on a here some time ago) on electric. It was a country thing the drummer put together and it went killer. I'm just bummed out that it was only a one time thing. I'd never played with such a professional group of musicians before...probably the best feeling gig I've ever played in any style. The whole gig was older country material until we closed with Crossfire (SRV of course) I didn't play on that one (they went with just electric/bass/keys/drums/vocals), but Bobby played the most amazing solo I've ever heard in my life. It was probably the most intense musical experience I've ever had. I've never been floored like that by anyone on any instrument in any context before. The whole thing was "professionally" filmed so if the drummer decides to let it get into the web, I'll post vids.

I'm just in a killer mood about this right now, so I thought I'd share. :)

Sounds awesome! Vids?

I'm doing something similar tonight. Not country, but stepping out of my normal style. I'm playing bass for an acoustic singer/songwriter. She has some pretty good songs, and a really good voice. Maybe I'll get pics (I'll be dressed all nice, and wearing sleeves and everything).

goddamn guys, we've got to get some of this stuff shared here... especially pics of jeff

But dude, eyeballkid (wtf is your name anyway? I could just call you kiddo ;) ) that sounds wicked awesome. I'd love to hear that stuff when you have it done.

well brett, i love folk AND flamenco. so your lucky! hahaha. as SOON as you get them on myspace let us know.

meeds, that sounds AWESOME! i wish i could have seen it.

For sure:rock:. I don't know if I can rightfully say that it was something "different" for me, but I certainly don't gig on country stuff as much as I'd like to. I feel fortunate in the fact that I truly and genuinely love so many different kinds of music. As much as I do like being pushed outside of my comfort zone at times, I also like that my comfort zone is fairly large and I don't have to be outside of it that often.
