Ah! I see!

Well this picture here looks a lot less like Alucard; however, the art on your album is not quite as old and elvish looking.
I always find it interesting when I find album art that is similar to other things I like. For example the guy on the cover of the new Brainstorm album looks almost exactly like Altair from Assasssin's Creed.

Scheduled for a personal interview next Friday. I'll see how Detroit sits with me personally. Actually, Livonia and Novi - I'm not sure if there's a difference between those two cities and Detroit proper.

Livonia is a typical midwest suburb, FAR greater than Detroit itself.
Stayed in Livonia during our first of 3 or 4 annual treks to see Ted Nugent's whiplash bash on New Year's Eve:headbang:

setlist = killer means "We swear we won't play anything from Black Mountain"? If so, then definitely. Great band aside from that wussy album.

continuing on with the new album 1-liner reviews...
Lanfear - X To The Power Of Ten: One of the worst cover arts I've ever seen. Abysmal. Musically, surprisingly good.
Burst - Lazarus Bird: No surprises here. Solid but not as stand-out as Origo.
Cloudscape - Global Drama: Not bad, but too easily forgettable.
Frost - 2008 Tour Sampler: Oh my god, this shouldn't have been made. Poor production, poor songwriting.
Frequency Drift - Personal Effects: zzzzz
Evergrey - Torn: So, I liked this one, but it's also forgettable. I forgot what the title was when talking to Zach a few days ago.
Lunatic Soul - s/t: So, I liked this one, but it doesn't have enough edge to it. I don't mean distortion, I mean purpose.
Marillion - Happiness Is The Road: Contender for album of the year 2008.
Anberlin - New Surrender: Not bad. Probably their worst album, but considering it kicks ass...
Metallica - Death Magnetic: Has its own thread.
Venturia - Hybrid: This is ok. Easily forgettable.
Sieges Even/Sylvan live albums: One of these was good, and I can't remember which.
Anathema - Hindsight: I <3 Anathema.
Dark Suns - Grave Human Genuine - Their best. A winner.

Well, Im finally seeing someone again and its becoming very serious. Busy as hell, rarely home, running a wicked pace which will calm down now because we are both beat from it but having the time of our life. Stevie's a happy boy, and Laura a happy girl... now life moves forward again... :headbang:

lots of one-sentence reviews.
Nice list. I'll be sure to check some of 'em out.

But the only album you'll ever really need this year is Happiness is the road. Here's my top 5 Happiness songs along with a comment for each. I rate all the other songs on the album either 10 or 9 and the album itself a solid 10.

1. Trap the Spark - Sublime. 10/10
2. Happiness is the Road - Epic song. The lyrics deliver a great life lesson. 10/10
3. Essence - Excellent uplifting closure and otherwise a beautiful song. 10/10
4. Especially True - Simple but flawless. 10/10
5. Liquidity - Beautiful piano/ambiance instrumental piece. 10/10
