I was reading about some game and I saw a poster of a certain band.

You guys woke up to a 1/8" think sheet of ice covering everything, too?

I HATE winter. When I graduate, I want to move south so freakin' bad!

I'm assuming you got the same stuff we got earlier tonight....great stuff, huh?

5" of snow. Not horrible, but the people of Ill-annoy had 2 problems. 1) everybody forgot how to drive in snow, & 2) It hit at rush hour, slowing down the process of removal. I drove home last night at 11:30pm, & the roads were still fukt. We had ice over the weekend (& fucking COLD), and more ice on the way either tonight or tomorrow. Ice is BAD. ... I need to go South or Southwest...:erk:

I too know something about driving in snowy conditions. It sucks with a normal car but when driving a fire truck it's a real PITA (especially during an emergency).

Yup, it's not the snow & ice that bother me about driving in poor conditions, it's the other idiots that are the problem.

I miss the snow..I even miss shoveling my walks.

I love the winter, I like driving in the snow and just about everything in the snow except shoveling it. Around here I pack my driveway and all my walking paths, only shoveling out the bank made by the snowplow. I like my woodstove and doing my firewood, not a drop of petro (for heat) have I burned since '78. I just dont like the short daylight hours. I worked out in the woods all day Fri in that freezing rain, t'was majestic. We were out of power(here) for 18 hours, then up for 6, then out for another 8, then up for 12 then out for another 10.... crazy but alls well now. Other people in the area were out for 5 days. I love the 4 extreme seasons, what I dislike is wet/damp cool falls and the same when the spring drags on like late March for a few months which it has been doing for quite a few years around here. I also dont like any temps much above 82-84... theres a point where you run out of cloths to take off... lol but you can always put more on. To each his own but I have always run straight outside in the winter since I was a kid, snow is dry and pretty... rain on the other hand sucks. I can keep warmer at 10 below than at 40-50* in the rain.

stripped to a hoody and a tee (but you can bet my Carhart is in the sled and I started out with it on)
