Official RC Snobby Beer Purchases Thread

My Friday evening/WWII re-enactment:

The Holgate Mt. Macedon Ale; a winner as always.
The Bridge Road Hefeweizen; a disappointment to the German stalwart.
The Dundee India Pale Ale; massively lacking the kick of a good IPA.. what more should I expect of a Yank beer though hey?!
The other two are yet to be enjoyed.

These beers, combined with a 32C degree day, the sounds of birds in the distance, the view over the bay from my balcony, and the humming of Rated R in the background are making for a wonderful arvo.

Edit: QOTSA replaced by Sun Kil Moon and the Monteith's Black Beer is going down a treat. Heavy malt, thick on the palate with a dry caffeinated cacao after-taste. Probably not ideally suited to the weather, but is fitting well with current mood.

Fuck I love beer.

You little monk you. Trappist fo' lyfe.

I had a La Fin Du Monde the other night.

I plan on consuming a Maredsous soon.

The Rochefort 10 is one of the best beers there is. I'll forever be gay for the Chimay blue cap, and that Hertog Jan Grand Prestige is swiftly rising to the top ranks in my hall of drunkenness. And many others... Many French small berweries are doing a great job these days!

Anyone ever tasted that one?

bought a bottle yesterday, looking forward!

Also bought bottles of Ikebana and Kerubim, classy blond ales from a home brewer near my birth place in the Auvergne, a bottle each of Reinaert triple and Reinaert Grand Cru, one Chouffe and a Triple Karmeliet for good measure...

Yep. I have a Flying Dog pint glass and everything! Pretty much all their stuff is great, at least what I've tried.

Today I go and drink Speakeasy Scarface Imperial Stout on tap. That should be in an hour or so.

Glorious tidings to follow I'm sure.
