While not a fan of Flying Dog beers, except for the Gonzo Imperial Porter, I am enjoying my first Double Dog Double Pale Ale by them right now and it is fucking GREAT. Wow, I am pleasantly surprised!!! Whew, starting the night off with a 10.5% beer....it's gonna be one of them nights.

:kickass:

How was that? It *sounds* delicious. :)

I thought it was very good. A great refreshing summer beer.

That's probably my favorite beer of all-time right there. Absolute top 3. Havent had this year's yet.

It's surely on my list of top beers, it was something else I tells ya. Hurry an get this years.

BTW, how the hell are you getting Alesmith stuff over in your neck of the woods? It's basically impossible to get ANYTHING from Dogfish Head, Three Floyds, etc out here:mad:

MA/RI have a great distribution. Alesmith is available in MA.

Three Floyds on the other hand hasnt been available since the big "fuck up" early last year. It used to be available in RI through a friend of mine;s distribution company.

framboise lambics are delicious.

finally tried a sam smith's nut brown and oatmeal stout. the ale was pleasant but the stout was a fucking knockout, as promised :kickass:

also tried the pyramid apricot hefeweizen, fruity and refreshing.

edit: ooh, also got a pint of total domination ipa the other night, it PWNEDDD. living in portland absolutely KICKS ASS when it comes to availability of excellent local brews.

One of the nearby wine/beer/liquor stores is having a beer fest in Sept. that is apparently going to feature "Extreme" brews. They said their trying to get Dogfish Head. I'll jump for joy if I can taste their juice.
