Official RC Snobby Beer Purchases Thread

the seasonal ale was ok, never had a pumpkin ale before and it wasn't bad, very drinkable. now moving on to this Pabst Blue Ribbon, i've heard it's excellent...i'm told it was selected as america's best in 1893! and can you believe i found it for only $7/12pack??? insane, for such a "prized flavor" as the can purports...

Are you blindly purchasing 5 brews at once, or picking up 4 that you know you'll enjoy and experimenting with the 5th?!? Peruse through the thirty nine pages of this thread, take two ambien, and call us in the morning.

When I was in line buying the Pecan beer the guy was like. "hey, that stuff is REALLY nutty. I dont know if you like that kind of stuff, but it was way nutty."
ITS FUCKING PECAN BEER!!!!!!!!!! OF COURSE ITS FUCKING NUTTY!
It was fucking amazing

Are you a member of BeerAdvocate.com? If nay, become one today. You may also consider purchasing your brew online so you aren't figure foured by your local beer shops shatty selection.

May I also add that their monthly publication is well worth it. One of the few magazines that can actually be read from front to back without skimming over filler.

Stella Artois is fucking foul. At an Angels game last season, I was in blissful comfort after several Pyramid Hefeweizens (Brew is a pure treat on tap). I returned to the beer line for a fourth helping only to be shillelaghed across the face with the realization that they were all out of this fine elixir. My only resort to keep the good vibes a rollin was to order a Stella Artois. Gasp...It appears as though Miller Light has expanded in to the European Market.

Fuck Pilsners, fuck Lagers, and fuck Negars.

Damn skunked beer is a bitch...

So this afternoon the woman and I split a bomber of Stone's 11th Anniversary Ale and Marin Brewing Co's Hoppy Holidaze Ale

I was looking forward to the Stone Ale since it was a Black IPA (dark brown?) but was vastly disappointed. Hoping to turn it around, we tried the Holidaze ale and holy jesus, it was god damn disgusting.

Found a place online where I can pick up some Dogfish Head brews, will place an order next week :kickass:

I was looking at LiquidSolutions.com since I was pondering ordering some of beeradvocate's most highly decorated brews, but this 3rd rate site doesn't seem to offer a single one.

The first time I tried Stella was when I was in Belgium, and it is actually okay. It's wasn't as good as Leffe though, where Leffe brown is pretty good. Then I come to the UK and buy a bottle, and it's pure shit. How can they fuck up the brew that bad? From okay cheap to undrinkable shit, fucking faggots.

Just what the fuck. So I was looking into ordering some hard to find (ie, impossible in my area) brews and I noticed that the shipping rates are fucking retarded.

2 12oz bottles of 90min IPA at $5 and change would end up being around $25 with shipping

Halp a brotha out! :waah:

I always thought Stella was fucking terrible, but everyone else seems to love it :erk:

What the fuck is up with this? I know this ugly white trash lady who recently took over as owner at a local burger joint (awesome burgers BTW) and a couple weeks ago she god damn proudly announced in a room full of friends and strangers that...

"The Bucket will be having Stella on tap next week everybody!"

Fuck you, itchy

Had this yesterday. Quite an interesting brew and I must say, I very much enjoyed it. Wouldn't wanna have more than one pint of it as it's totally filling.
