I think a couple of those came in my Sam Adams variety 12 pack. This black lager I'm drinking right now is pretty tasty.

That Black Lager is fucking awesome. My favorite year-round offering from SA, along with their Cream Stout. One of the best session brews Ive had. I need to check out more schwarzbiers tbh.

Just had Old Guardian; I'm slightly disappointed with the beer. I was expecting something unique, but it came across as a regular barley wine.

Ive come to the conclusion that Brooklyn Lager is the most perfect example of the style and the perfect session brew....especially for the spring/summer season.

Only problem is that I drin kthe fuckers WAY too fast 'cuz they are so delicious, defeating the purpose.

I fucking love Brooklyn Lager. More places need to brew Bitters in the US. Surly's Bitter Brewer is excellent. Once I get a keggerator, I will always have a homebrew bitter on tap.

I agree. It's because we Americans are all about extremities. Hopefully that will change sooner or later, once the fascination has been worn off and the there arent as many boundaries to push for the sake of pushing them.

A ~3.5% can be wonderful, especially if you want to drink all day, but not wake up and feel foul.

Don de Dieu
La Fin Du Monde
Trois Pistoles (my personal favorite from the grip)

Obviously I'm not going to get through all 12... I think I should be able to tackle about 7 before passing out I think. Depends on how I space the Trois Pistoles. If I go after all 4 of them first, it's over by the time I open a different one. If I shuffle em up, should be able to get through a few of each.
