i don't think it is, i think it's the same situation as with craft beer

i.e. there is about the same amount of quality bands/beers, it's just there's also a whole lot more bad beers/bands so the signal-noise ratio is getting worse

yeah, some breweries just don't get what makes craft beer so great.

As of right now I stick to my homebrew, breweries I know and love, and whisky.

So I found a store in Providence that had a few bottles of DFH Raison D'Extra left. 18% abv, last brewed in 2007. They aged it for me!

As a result of watching playoff hockey, I've been subjected to several Bud Light commercials. I had forgotten how bad those are. I love it though, how they try and make it look like it's just an amazingly delicious and irresistible beverage. And how *only* really really hot chicks drink it and that's pretty much ALL they're interested in...except maybe perhaps average-looking dudes who have the financial depth to buy........Bud Light

Hmmm....upon further reflection, I believe you to be correct. However, what annoys me is that, in the commercials, the hot chicks are lured to the parties by the shitty beer, suggesting that they can't resist a $0.35 can of Pabst.

was never impressed with dogfish head. they do a good IPA, but the rest is just gimmicks. I had a 2007 bottle of the "Forte", which is brewed with raspberries and is also 18% abv. not really beer, IMO. i could hardly drink a cup of this stuff. tasted like shitty wine mixed with some kind of brandy or something.

but seriously, i get that they are trying to be different from every other brewery. i do like some of their stuff, the IPAs are nice (just not an IPA guy in general) and I like their take on Sahti. just soooo hyped up. that you cannot deny
