Interesting. I think a lot of their beers are unique and quite tasty. A lot of people want their beers to be only Malt/Hops/Barley/Yeast, but I disagree, I think beer can have a lot of different ingredients and DFH really knows how to mix all those flavours. Maybe your problem is thinking that beer has to taste like 'Malt/Hops/Barley/Yeast' beer.

Got home a little while ago from the Surley Brewing "Power of the Pint" party. Surley helped to change a state law & now they are planning to build a new larger brewery with a bar & restaurant attached. That is what the party was to celebrate. It was raining most of the day & the place was packed. Everyone that entered got a free pint glass. I used it when drinking the following:

2 Bitter Brewer pints
1 Hell pint
1 Smoke pint
1 Furious pint
1 smaller keg cup of Schadenfreude


I wanted to sample the Moe's Bender, but there were out by the time I got there.

I had an Elysian Loser Pale Ale last night. Kind of sweet and cinnamony which i wasnt expecting from a pale ale, but it was really good.

Lagunitas Sucks....this beer is goddamn downright Phenomenal. Ive been hooked on it for the past few weeks. One of the better, if not best, widely available beers I have had in a long while.
