i cant believe it!!!!!!!!!!! i just like, walked up this alley, down this corridor and stairs and all of a sudden im in this room with the band, Johan was just sitting there in his undies! haha! i had nothing to say really i was like.. er..so..uh..how do you like australia!!

stupid me had forgotten my camera in my friends car, so hopefully pics at the signing tomorrow!!

they were those boxer-brief things actually! hahaha.. actually i go in and he is drinking VB and im like 'oh my god why are you drinking that? its like the worst Australian beer ever!' and Johan goes 'I dunno they didn't have any Fosters!' I'm like 'EWWW' haha..

umm they were alright, not ALL that friendly, however they had just finished a one and a half hour set so I'm guessing they would have been pretty tired..

Johan mentioned my very very good friend Vaughan during the gig!!! He goes to the audience 'We met this guy with this tattoo all over his back, Amon Amarth right across the shoulder blades!' and I'm like 'OMG that's Vaughan!!'

and now its time for work and I literally have not slept a single wink

I met them about a year ago, when they were with Children of Bodom....pretty cool took the time to chat a few minutes. I could tell they were tired, so I kept it to about 4-5 minutes

Charis, you should've asked them if you could join them in stripping down to your undies and drinking beer with them. Even if it's gross beer, it would be outweighed by the fact that you can say "I've sat with Amon Amarth in our underwear drinking beers." That's not something that many people could say.

ok.. i come bearing a new story and SOME pictures..

So as you may or may not know, I went to the instore signing yesterday.. that was pretty cool, got my DVD signed and took some pics of the guys.

Then I get very quietly invited by my very good friend Vaughan down to the Yarra for a BBQ, and who should show up? But Ted the bassist and Fred the drummer!!! Apparently Johan H wanted to come but he was sick with laryngitis (explains why he wasnt so talkative the night before) and the other Johan apparently "couldnt be fucked dealing with fans" and as for Ollie - the only one Ive still never met officially, though he was the friendliest at the store signing - well I'm not sure why he couldnt come.. BUT Ted and Fred came!!

Then after the BBQ, most people left, all except me, Vaughan, his friend and the two Amon Amarth guys, and we all started drinking a little heavier then (onto the vodka actually), then we went to Swanston St and hung out at this place called the Golden Tower, so we could keep drinking..

Anyway, in all its been a fucking incredible past couple of days.. Ted is THE sweetest guy on the planet, he was showing me pictures of his 3month old baby son, who is adorable!

At one point I asked the guys too if they ever get sick of people always on them for autographs and photos etc (pretty much like we were lol), and Ted's response was "no because the fans are the reason why we are where we are today, without them we are nothing"

As you can see I hit it off pretty well with Fred too (maybe more pics of that to come haha, Vaughanish has a few naughty ones)

So far it has been just the best experience, and I cant wait till they come back to Aus next time!
