Both of the polls seem to be going in pretty much the same direction. :) I'm just waiting for Deliverance to spring up in the other though... EDIT: On second thought, since Rensei demanded that the voters had to know the whole discography I doubt Deliverance is going to take the lead.

My Arms, Your Hearse definitely.

They got everything right on that one. It was also the first Opeth album I listened to, and in some ways it was the first extreme metal album I listened to. Before that I listened to things like In Flames, Children of Bodom and Arch Enemy but all those are quite 2-dimensional and easy to stomach compared to something like MAYH.

It blew me away.

I don't know how long I've been listening to them for, but it was before Deliverance was released at least.

Fav albums:
1. Still Life
2. Morningrise
3. My Arms, Your Hearse
4. Orchid
5. Blackwater Park
6. Damnation
7. Deliverance

(Not to say that I don't love them all)

EDIT:
It's saddening to me that Orchid hasn't gotten any votes. You'd think there'd be at least one old purist or something, it's such a great album :(
