Older Katatonia or newer?

I prefer Dance of December Souls. Actually, I'd take October Tide's Rain Without End over anything Katatonia put out. Much more consistent, with the dreary atmosphere, I think...

What the hell are you talking? They were and remain one of the most influential doom album creators and Jonas' growling vocals were amazing. I thought they started playing thinner music because they like it.

"Dance of December Souls" is still the best doom album I've ever heard.

I'm starting to think that asking which album/kind of music is better and older versus newer stuff polls are the basis of metal forums and not the music/the band. They're everywhere.
