OPETH and Autumn

Opeth is definately Autumn music, although I can listen to them every season :) winter is, of course, black metal season and summer is Nile season :kickass: don't really have anything fitting for spring though, any suggestions?
Eluveitie?

Opeth is great music for the fall.

Appreciating fall is like seeing beauty in death. There's something very Opeth about that.

Listening to Opeth in the Autumn is a somewhat perfect match, playing it in the summer doesn't have that feel as Autumn. The two just go so well together.

Btw-Hi to everyone I'm new, this is my second post :)

I first heard Opeth in November so Autumn is definitely the most fitting season for Opeth. Plus they have tons of songs that relate to fall (Forest Of October, Dirge For November, Demon Of The Fall). Winter is when I break out Agalloch and Wintersun.

i wish i had some epic winter woods where i live... but i have eucalyptus trees and the epic quality of them really struggles:(

I find them quite attractive actually. Perhaps not in a 'metal' sense, but I think they can be quite beautiful. Listening to metal up in Victoria's high country, or on a cold day in eastern Melbourne is a great experience, however the best place in Oz is in Tasmania. Beautiful state.

as i lived in two season country. i'm indonesian, so just dry season and rainy season. any suggestion in what season i have to listen to opeth?:p

ps : sorry for my bad english.

I´d switch with you any day. Who wouldn´t want to live in Australia? Hell knows it beats this place, which is good in the summer, but which makes you freeze your balls of in the winter.

I find that all music, and Opeth in particular, is best enjoyed while it's really pitch black dark outside, and also if you get drousy and sleepy and have like a nap and the like, it gets even better, because in that state your mind is thoughtless and you're more open to the music.

Sitting on a bus or a train, late at night/before sunrise, dosing off.. That's how I prefer to listen to music.

Definately Autumn. I'm biased though due to the fact that my first Opeth album was My Arms Your Hearse. The fact that it's raining in the prologue followed by the dark introduction of April Ethereal.

To be even more philosophical - April Ethereal also reminds me of the opposite of April. Generally (where I live, central sweden) April goes from cold to hot with a LOT of rain. April Ethereal reminds me of the opposite in some way, hence, Autumn.

P.S, Autumn is also the most beautiful season as well!
