Opeth and Paradise Lost in the UK.

Back to a couple of pages ago, the Roundhouse show still had tickets available as of this morning (Monday). I enoyed the Portsmouth show so much I'm going again...

That setlist is great, quite different to when i saw them last in the UK i think (Sept 05) and different to their set at Download.

Swap Ghost of Perdition for Under the Weeping Moon, TGC for Serenity Painted Death and Deliverance for Wreath and it would be perfect i think.*

Really looking forward to friday even more now.

*Unless i was being really picky and wanted Closure off Damnation instead.

This will be great. AND I actually look forward to PL as well, like the setlist.
Someone bring a "Heavy Metal Machine" sign and I'll PROMISE to photograph it and try to sneak it onto the DVD ;)

Holy shit!!! Blackwater Park, Bleak, and When!!! I hope this is a warmup for the DVD setlist!!!

Mikael said during the show that they were rehearsing for it.

That was a great show. Paradise Lost weren't that great for me (I do love them on record) but Face Of Melinda and When were fantastic.

EDIT: And I didn't see that much moshing going on...

LMFAO. poor Mike and the guys

how'd they shorten it though?

I remember the intro to TGC was definitively
condensed and the chorus came in alot
earlier, to the best of my knowledge.

Maybe they had an obligation to abbreviate it
in order to fit it into their time parameters?

Ah well, it was still as tasty as ever.

When Paradise Lost played I kept imagining o_O
Nick Holme as Dartanian from the three musketeers.

I think he should have worn one of those ornate
hats with a huge, fuck off feather on the top

Not sure I remember it being condensed!? Maybe at the end? Didn't they have a bit of a feedback session at the start before Mike started the first verse? It was only 20-30 seconds IIRC.

Well whatever TGC is totally :worship: live!

The transition from When to Bleak was superb aswell.

Sorry I'm remembering stuff as I go along :zombie:

PL's setlist:

1. Erased
2. Isolate
3. Grey
4. Hallowed Land
5. Redshift
6. Embers Fire
7. No Celebration
8. Shadowkings
9. Pity the Sadness
10. As I Die
11. One Second
12. Forever After
13. Say Just Words
14. Eternal

wtf did pl play a full set???

very important question when did the show start and end, coz i might b fucked for the roundhouse

MA: "We've actually had some time off. Do you know what I've been doing?"
Crowd: "Wanking" "Wanking!" etc...etc..
MA: "Jerking off.......and fixing the roof on my mansion"

Face of Melinda and BwP certainly weren't in their last 2 uk tours, nor was Windowpane actually. That's 4 different tracks

fact is, putting material that was on lamentations on the new DVD = very lame, and a very big waste. lets just hope the setlist changes for the DVD recording show
