Why O Why does blastwaves.com not have a SSL cert from a trusted issuer? Can't afford one? They're like $200 US dollars per year!

I'll not buy anything from there until that mess is straightened out...

nah, he doesn't want to send credit card info over an unsecure server, which makes sense i guess, but it doesn't really matter that much...the secure ones can be just as unsafe as the unsecure servers. it's not like russian roulette or anything

Ya, it's the principal of the thing, and there is no good reason for it, given that a real cert costs so little. It's actually quite baffling why they would do it this way. It has nothing to do with the functioning of the store per se.
