Allright, it's 3:33 am, and I have to be up in a few hours, but just wanted to say that ORCHID rules.

Its 8:10 AM here... About to leave for school, but, for now "The Twilight Is My Robe" is playing...! Love the bass at 5:38!

EDIT: What luck! I just realized that there is a late start today... :loco:

It's 4:46 PM here....I think it's the perfect time to shut this PC down and listen to some "Morningrise"
:hotjump: <----------- this is my favorite smilie!!!!

well its 4:22 and 30 mins ago i just had a neighbour come over complaining with a notepad in her hand, apparently ive been playing music too loud, with the doors and windows open, oops. beat that my fellow opethians.

The Apostle In Triumph, God damn it´s fuckin´ amazing!!!

i listen to apostle in triumph while walking in the soft rain and betwen trees, give you a great sensation.

They've been in rotation.. so they're spread throughout my collection (I keep it in 2 cases.. not too many cds). But a certain blue one is going to land in my DVD player's tray momentarily..

brb..

okay.. it's in. It was near the end of my NIN collection.

It's 10:23pm, and Orchid is playing. It's flowing in and around me, and I know it's going to get better from there.

I've previously said that MAYH, then Still Life were my favourite album. I think that's changed again. Orchid is simply an incredible album. It has incredible atmosphere, amazing lyrics, and a very ethereal feeling - which is nearly impossible to maintain while keeping the level of agression that it does. The production, usually cited as "raw" is actually pretty good. I like it more each time I hear it.

Anyway, enough rambling. You people should be busy listening to Orchid instead of sitting on the forum!

Yeah but ya gotta say the atmosphere in Morningrise is slightly superior to what is held in Orchid. Maybe it's just Black Rose Immortal.

And I see you're still listening to some metal Duvall.

I'd say Morningrise is more sophisticated, and possibly darker, but it lacks Orchid's youthful exuberance.

Both albums are similar IMO, but I rate Orchid slightly higher. +
