Orphaned Land and Coolness!

I'm pretty pissed that PT again skips Denmark. Again. They also did so on Deadwing tour. Last time they were here were in 2001, I believe. But there I wasn't a PT fan, so fuck that. Steven, come on dude, we have a fuckload of fans!
Well what about crossing the border and going to the Hamburg gig? Or do you live too far up north?

I live on Sjælland. But it might be a solution, if it weren't for the too high cost of money and stuff like that. It would get a bit too complicated, I think. And I hate going to other countries to see bands, because they're to lazy to drop by me:Smug:

Porcupine tree and Ol would make an awsome gig, but I rather like to see OL on their own and give a full 2 hr set. Morticia I met you at Progpower UK this year, you were with Matti and Uri and we asked you for a pen so I could a get a signiture and I said to you to pass on my respect to Kobi for wearing a Poncho. He does look coo, in a poncho but looks even cooler in that long kind of shirt he wears (the one in the Norra el Norra video).

I was thinking more in the line of a full scale festival where all artists give full 2 hour shows

Wilsonfest 2006

Paradox, you have a vivid imagination :loco:

Paradox that would be awsome! But youd have to start it a an early time like say 10 to fit all the bands in, btu the questions are where would it be held or would it be a roadshow? Who would be on the first ever line up + How many bands would there be?and what would you call it?
Id make it a roadshow (that would naturtally come to the UK  )
My Line up would be: Orphaned Land (Joint headliners)
Porcupine Tree (joint headliners)
Threshold
Opeth
Circus Maximus
Hammerfall
Fintroll
Pagan's Mind
Dreamscape
Tool
Id call it: Progfest or Progductions (something witty and a play on words):headbang:
How awsome would that be?:kickass:

Just had a look at my atlas and now I see your problem: the Fehmarn belt. Then I googled a bit and found some info about the Fehmarn belt bridge project and plans to actually start building in 2010 and opening the bridge in 2015. So, in less than 10 years time you'll be able to get to Hamburg in like 2 hours?
BTW, at the local Fantasy Filmfest I'll be watching a Danish movie tonight called "Adam's Apples" ("Adams Æbler"). Maybe you've seen it?

Right, "Adam's apples" was probably the most grotesque black comedy I've seen. ... Never thought I'd sit through the credits, listening to "How deep is your love" by the BEE GEES...

singing like bee gees is really really gay

Well, here's my Top 3 of US Power Metal bands:
1. Savatage
2. Nevermore
3. Iced Earth (with Matthew Barlow!)
...and this is where the list ends... ;-)

Euro Power Metal?...just forget it...

True, US Power Metal isn't cheesy (eh, new Iced Earth is though, haha).

And your list is reversed. Iced Earth > Savatage and Nevermore (especially Nevermore)

I love Rhapsody, Helloween, Dragonforce and stuff like that though.

Nevermore is more like prog to me. I don't know why everyone calls Iced Earth power metal, I think they sound more like thrash, except for Dark Saga. Savatage rule!

Manowar, Tad Morose, Amaran, Angel Dust, Iron Cross, Hammerfall, Stratovarius (yes, I like Stratovarius but I hate Kotipelto), Pagan's Mind, Dragonforce and a few others.

I don't really consider Eidolon as a power metal band, but they are amazing. I love The Parallel Otherworld. I did a review for the album, an interview with Shawn Drover and we're also giving away a couple of free autographed copies at Living For Metal (shameless plug but oh well). Just click on the link under the pic of Al Bundy.

Most power metal sucks though. I don't even know how half of it is even considered metal. I'm not going to list bands since I don't want to offend any fans, but bands like a German one that is named after a holiday that occurs on October 31st but removes the 'a' with an 'e'. Or another band from Italy that is cheesy and gay as hell and toured the US with Manowar (they call themselves Hollywood metal or something like that). As well as many others. Those bands are not metal and they have NO power what so ever. (no offense PinkThrone)
