That's a pretty bold step, moving to a completely different country. After living as a civilian in a different country and belonging to its own culture, I now feel a bit freer of the ties of so-called patriotism. Of course I still love my country but now it's all just borders to me. Whether I live here or live there, as long as I can speak the language and eat the food, it doesn't really matter to me where I am, at least on a personal level. I have no more sense of belonging anywhere, that wherever I am I can make it work. I don't feel American or European; I don't feel anything, actually.

It's strange, but surprisingly it's a nice feeling. It's almost like you're invisible.

True story, as I heard the voice recording:

In Germany, one of the F-16 fighter squadrons there was doing a routine 4v4 which was being controlled by one of my former colleagues around Spangdahlem. After check-in, number 2 who is in a D model (two seater for training) signals to the flight lead to come up on their inter-flight victor freq. It went something like this (I listened to it...this is 100% true):

"Uhh, lead this is Viper 2, we need to RTB."

"State reason Viper 2."

"Well, uh...(a second goes by and the instructor in the back seat comes on)...Viper 1, Viper 2 in the front seat had an accident....he shit his pants."

"Viper 2 you're cleared off."

During all of this you could hear Viper 2's intercom with the instructor talking back and forth, and the instructor goes:

"WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SMELL, DID YOU JUST SHIT YOURSELF?!?!?!"

"HAHA YEAH I COULDN'T HOLD IT, MAN!"

"OH MY GOD IT'S FUCKING HORRIBLE!!!! I CAN SMELL IT BACK HERE, AAARRRGH!!!!"

I'm sure his callsign changed after that.

Well, to be honest, it's definitely conceivable. They could've actually raided the place and found them all dead already due to suicide if they were tipped off about them coming.

If I were to not believe something, it would definitely be how the gubment says it happened. While I do think he's very dead and I do not believe they've had him in storage just waiting to roll him out so he can get Obama re-elected, I won't for one second believe that it happened exactly as they said without footage.

Not that it matters. Al Qaeda is going to attack us again and we'll have more conspiracy theories to throw out after that one.

True dat. This does nothing to curb any threats. So as long as the Western world prospers and follow non-Islam beliefs, they will always attack. Fighting terrorism abroad is a waste of money, and really we should limit our interests in the area (oil) and let them all kill each other off. That's the only way to win. Ultimately, through their own self-destruction will they realize that they must abandon the radical teachings of Islam and learn to stop being so jelly of the Western world.

I think the best way to battle terrorism is to battle religion as a whole. I do NOT have to tolerate ANYONES religious beliefs.

If only I could mass genocide every non atheist/agnostic on the planet with a painless, instant death. Even if my own mother had to die with them, it would be for the good of all mankind. Hell, I'd sacrifice my own life so our children could live in a world without religion.

If only I could mass genocide every non atheist/agnostic on the planet with a painless, instant death. Even if my own mother had to die with them, it would be for the good of all mankind. Hell, I'd sacrifice my own life so our children could live in a world without religion.

I understand people would find other reasons to commit terrorist acts if not religion, and war wouldn't be abolished completely.

I also understand there are "good" religious people. My best friend is a Christian. Smartest Mexican I've ever met. But he's too weak-minded and/or afraid to accept non-existence so he has...faith. We've debated countless nights and come to the final conclusion that for our friendship to work, we have to agree on a stale-mate and not discuss the topic at all.

Still, a world without religion would be a world in which man kind found some true progression. A world without religion is a world worth dying for. At the risk of sounding arrogant, that last sentence I said is pretty quote worthy.

That has to be the most contradictory statement on the forum. I take it that most atheists people hate religion because believers kill in the name of their god. To state that all religious people should be killed to promote atheistic beliefs is asinine.

Atheism in general is turning in to a religion itself. I see so many that want to force their lack of belief on others, and its contradicting itself. Just as others don't want to tolerate a belief, why should anyone tolerate a lack thereof?

Atheists should focus more about promoting secularism and not so much about forcing or promoting your lack of belief on individuals. As far as the individual goes, their beliefs should be respected so as long as they are not harming others or quite literally forcing a belief on you. If they want to play make-believe, let them play make believe and be happy that you are grounded in some sort of reality and leave it at that.
