What a mess it is down there. I feel sorry for the innocent people who are trying to get out of there as well as the emergency personnel risking their lives to help people. But fucking looters and those shooting at the police and helicopters trying to help evaccuate people, what the hell are they thinking? I'm sure it is scary as hell down there right now, don't get me wrong, but shooting at people isn't going to get help any quicker. Now the emergency personnel are getting too worried to even want to get down there to help. I hope they get the help they need before this situation gets worse, even though its hard to imagine how much worse it can get.

I heard about the helicopters that got shot at. Bring a few Apaches down to escort the rescue choppers, and then let´s see if the snipers wanna play chicken with them...

I(s it true there are also Sharks swimming in New Orleans?
I´m not kidding I red this a couple of hours ago...

That would be so rad if there were man-eating sharks there, to take care of the looters and other criminals.
I'm gonna sound like an asshole, but this is evolution. If you're going to live where there's hurricanes, you may die. Time to REALIZE that or get a Darwin award.
Everytime I see news about a hurricane coming (especially to Florida) I wonder why the FUCK would anyone in their right mind live there?

ok, here's my official politically incorrect view of things......... it's a form of population control. those who 'refused' or claim they were 'unable' to leave were bull headed and got what they knew was coming. yes, i do feel bad for them, but they could have and should have gotten out and away. as far as the looters go, what i saw on the news was stupid. stealing useless crap. where you going to go with that plasma tv?!?! there is no power no cable. steal something useful canned goods and bottled water. ok, enough of my rant.....

^^^^^^^^

Yeah that shit is true apparently they found at leats one 5 ft shark in the water swimming around. That is probably the people's least of worries considering disease and toxic waste everywhere. Not to mention lots of dead bodies...

That's great!
I was watching the news and saw some lazy fuck (looked like a hippie) crying saying he was sorry he didn't EVACUATE. Yeah, I bet he is sorry. Fucking jackass.

o.k. for mr. lesspaulbass666 first of all if our gov't was only nice to give people ex: a 1 million$ here is a mill go live somewhere else because where you live around the coast could one day be a disaster area shit that would be cool but unfortunate it's not the case
come on if you live around any coast would you gov't lay the money for you to live somewhere else????microbrain chk two.. and for the looters how can stealing a couple of sneakers can help you survive in this state of catastrophe.....peace..... if you can donate

There are idiots, and i'll be one of the first to criticize them.

BUT

I saw on CNN this morning a CNN producer helping a woman and her niece, sort through the remains of their house for a few belongings that meant a lot to them. This woman just buried her siser the week before and is now taking care of this niece. She also can't find her two sons.
Anyway....she was SOOOO appreciative of this producer helping her out, it was very emotional. (maybe it was something you had to see)
It had me in tears this morning, I felt so sorry for her.
I'm donating to the Red Cross as I type this. $20 isn't going to kill me, but it sure in the hell could help someone out tremendously.

Hell, donate $5 if you can, what the hell is going to hurt you?

ok bluntman......... they have legs and feet they could have walked out of harms way they had advance notice. they could have bought a bus ticket. what i saw on the news as far as looting as i already stated was literally useless crap....... tv's small appliances, cd's etc... not items vital fo survival.

It's very unnerving to realize: how quickly you can lose your entire life as you know it, how unprepared the government is to have supplies ready should we have a natural or unnatural disaster, how much we rely on technology, how quickly people will turn to lawlessness and how unprepared my family is should something like this happen where I live. What an unreal situation this is.

Fuck the looters.

I will try and donate as I don't want to go thru what these folks have. Hopefully anyone who was able to evacuate did.

Another politically incorrect point\question - what country has offered to help the US?
and who do other countries run to when the shit hits the fan? and guess what I'm not saying the US is always right?

When the Tsunami hit Southeast Asia someone asked me why we were donating to help them. "I don't remember them sending us donations after Hurricane Frances hit Florida," he said.

I wish I could go down there and help out in any way I can. But I can't afford it and I still have car payments to worry about. I'd truly like to head down there and donate my time to the cause. I feel really bad for the people down there.

Yep very sad situation... add to this that horrible stampede in Iraq too :-/

Thoughts and prayers with all those involved.
