I'd do Shania.
I don't know if this will work or really help.

Subject: May 19th
Subject: Don't buy gas on May 19th

IT HAS BEEN CALCULATED THAT IF EVERYONE IN THE UNITED STATES DID
NOT
PURCHASE A DROP OF GASOLINE FOR ONE DAY AND ALL AT THE SAME TIME,
THE
OIL
COMPANIES WOULD CHOKE ON THEIR STOCKPILES.
AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS
OF
OVER
4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL
COMPANIES.

THEREFORE MAY 19TH HAS BEEN FORMALLY DECLARED "STICK IT UP THEIR
BEHIND "
DAY AND THE PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SHOULD NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP OF
GASOLINE
THAT DAY.
THE ONLY WAY THIS CAN BE DONE IS IF YOU FORWARD THIS E-MAIL TO AS
MANY
PEOPLE AS YOU CAN AND AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN TO GET THE WORD OUT.
WAITING ON THIS ADMINISTRATION TO STEP IN AND CONTROL THE PRICES IS
NOT
GOING TO HAPPEN. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REDUCTION AND CONTROL IN
PRICES
THAT
THE ARAB NATIONS PROMISED TWO WEEKS AGO?

REMEMBER ONE THING, NOT ONLY IS THE PRICE OF GASOLINE GOING UP BUT
AT
THE
SAME TIME AIRLINES ARE FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES, TRUCKING
COMPANIES
ARE
FORCED TO RAISE THEIR PRICES WHICH EFFECTS PRICES ON EVERYTHING
THAT
IS
SHIPPED. THINGS LIKE FOOD, CLOTHING, BUILDING MATERIALS, MEDICAL
SUPPLIES
ETC. WHO PAYS IN THE END? WE DO!
WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE. IF THEY DON'T GET THE MESSAGE AFTER ONE
DAY,
WE
WILL DO IT AGAIN AND AGAIN.
SO DO YOUR PART AND SPREAD THE WORD. FORWARD THIS EMAIL TO EVERYONE
YOU
KNOW. MARK YOUR CALENDARS AND MAKE MAY 19TH A DAY THAT THE CITIZENS
OF
THE
UNITED STATES SAY "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH"

Doing this does absolutely nothing. Besides everyone needs gasoline. How about this idea. People start buying fuel efficient cars for a change. I dont give a shit if gas prices rise to 5 bucks a gallon. I drive a very fuel efficient car, and laugh at people who complain that the price of gas is to high, while they fill up their 8mpg SUV. Try living in other parts of the world where its even higher. I have another idea. How about people stop sending the same chain email for the 1oth year in a row.

I agree with you on this. There are several high MPG vehicles available as well as the gas-electric hybrids. Although I really want to buy one of the new Mustangs next year, I probably will get a hybrid instead. I have to drive through the city every day to work (lot's of stop and go traffic), and I need a nice fuel efficient car.

Besides, if I need gas on the 19th, I have to buy it. I need my car to get to work. There's no other way around it.

BTW- Notice that these "gas boycotts" always fall on a Wednesday or Tuesday. Guess what days of the week, statistically, that people usually fill up on? Here's a hint: it's not those two days!

Mistress Maiden, you know I will do anything you ask of me.

But, uh, I think you mean "GO PISTONS!"

First, Fuckin' Lakers can kiss my ass.

Second, Gas is way too expensive. It costs me $20 to fill up my car. And I have a fuel economic car. I won't buy gas that day, but that's because I just filled my car up and it will last me past that day.

The complaint I have about those Hybrids, is that most of them don't look like normal cars. They're usually all weird looking. If they took my car, and came out with it in hybrid form, I'd like it. Or like Rem said, a Mustang.

Silliest thing I've heard since Dennis Kucinich ran for president.

so dumb! as if they calculated their profiuts on a dialy basis. people use the same amount of gas anyway. it won't make any difference if you fill your tank up a day earlier. at the end of the week, month, or quarter, it'll all look the same.
