OT: Trivium - Not a rumor but true.

It doesn't seem like they have to promote Best Buy... when you're in the fucking store already. Just a thought. I mean, I'd assume the whole uniform-there-for-a-set-standard-to-avoid-dress-issues-and-to-make-sure-people-know-who-happens-to-be-an-employee-and-who-doesn't thing might play into it, but there could be that whole issue of 'Hey, I think I'm going to grab Gears of War off the shelf here and pay for it at the CompUSA regist... oh fuck, why didn't anyone tell me I was in a Best Buy? OMGWFTBBQ I hate that fucking blue piece of shit!' coming into play.
The way I see it, if it doesn't beat Led Zeppelin backstage monstrosities, it's just not that big a fucking deal.

I heard from a very close friend that Matt Heafy' Father is a big shot that works for Clear Channel. I have also heard that he plans to market Trivium as a be all/end all world dominating metal outfit! Complete w/Trivium trivia board games, Trivium bed sheets and ultimately a Trivium Debit card that allows you to earn bonus points on any Trivium purchase of $299 or more.
seriously though, I did hear that his father has allowed them to go for broke with this band, something that allot of other metal bands can not afford to do. Is this a bad thing? no. Is this a true metal thing? no. Is this a smart business move? Absolutely! Thankfully his father had the heart to allow him to pursue his dream.
He could have easily said no and made his sons band actually work for a living and struggle to acheive their dream. Now all matt needs to do is respect the fact that countless metal artist before him had to work for this dream, not every one gets a break like trivium did. He realy needs to let that be reflected in interveiws instead of hiding it. I feel that by matt being honest about the financial backbone of band he may gain more respect from the crowd. I could be wrong though, honesty does go along way.

The standard rule of debate that would apply here would be that the person making the claim (MKS) is responsible for showing how a given claim is demonstrated as a logical conclusion after integration and analyzation of past knowledge - meaning we see the correspondence, announcement, or a satisfactory number of fuckoff slips that say precisely 'No Chimaira shirts!', or we dismiss the claim until further evidence comes up. It should be a hell of a lot easier than it seems to be, but when you have 'Not a rumor but true!' in the title, no supporting evidence, appeal to authority, and denial of contrary evidence ALL IN ONE THREAD...
It seems this became more of a place for people to talk shit about Trivium at any opportunity presented, and that's what Blabbermouth is fucking there for.

Just to clear things up.........Brian heafy (matts dad) was a ceo of a soft ware start up and is indeed wealthy, i have not found proof that he works for
clearchannel...however......his father and the entertainment lawyer and co manager have infact made the ride to success a smooth one meaning that the band does not have to work day jobs to make ends meet like most other new up and comming metal outfits.

I will not reveal my sources for reasons I have no desire to explain. Nor do I care if anyone believes me or not. I received some legitimate information about a band that is referenced on this forum quite often and I decided to share.
However, the people on this forum that do know me, can confirm I'm honest to the point of fault.
