I agree, but it was good to go there for a month to get away from the hustle and bustle of mainstream America, though the teens there all listened to rap.

My band (which consists of three other people) and one of my other friends are the only ones in my high school heavily into metal to my knowledge. I find it ironic because we're all very "normal" looking and we listen to black metal but all the mallgoths look all "dark" and "scary" to everybody else when they listen to shit like Marilyn Manson and Slipknot.

I rarely listen to any Satanic metal because I find a lot of it stupid and misled. Deathspell Omega have some very thought-provoking lyrics, though.

I feel the same way about Christian metal. suffice to say, I don't listen to much of it besides Trouble.

I like Satanic lyrics that are actually well-written and thought-provoking, i.e. Deathspell Omega. All this lame "worship satan he is god" stuff just comes off as annoying. It's one reason why I'm not a big fan of some early black metal like Bathory and Mayhem.
